Welcome to Chômu Press
After months of preparation, Chômu Press has arrived.
We are a new imprint hoping to make a difference to people’s reading habits, and to improve, if only by the flutter of a butterfly’s wing, the lot of underrated writers.
Those who like to wander off the beaten tracks of literature are encouraged to take heart at the news. Our aim is to demonstrate that the best of literature need not belong to the past, and that the best of past literature need not be forgotten.
Please watch this space for further news and announcements regarding Chômu Press, our publications, and all related matters.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment.
Nice to see someone take the plunge.
Thank you for the interest. There should be more to see on the site before long. We’ve been floating a few ideas, and hopefully things will get more interesting and less static.
‘The’ Michael Cisco, author of of the San Veneficio stories?
I feel like Dr. Livingstone. If I say, “it is I,” I’m getting the predicate nominative right, but what the hell do you do with the verb? Why not “it am I”?
I agree enthusiastically with your mission statement, and I’d like to work with you.
Well, it is nice to meet you Mr. Cisco. I would say more except for the possibly inappropriate forum, but I am enjoying working my way through the ‘Canon’.
Your link to the Dead City Library has been very interesting as well.
I hope that you two do work together at some juncture.
Cheers!
Hello again.
I agree enthusiastically with your mission statement, and I’d like to work with you.
Thank you. This website should become somewhat more interactive before long, and it’ll become clearer that there is more on the horizon than simply selling the one book. It’s slightly too early to reveal what those plans are, but I hope that people can wait.
In the meantime, people are most welcome to link to us on blogs, etc., or make enquiries by e-mail.
