  1. John Eliot was a wonderful and uniquely gifted writer of singular vision and beguiling sound. His novels all led into strange and strangely thoughtful venues of often great charm. It is regrettable that he did not receive the attention he deserved or somehow find the audience which would have enjoyed him so much. But, thanks to you, Quentin and Chōmu Press, his work is available to dazzle the intrepid wanderer.
    I do hope he knew that there were those who treasured him.
